# How to showcase your dogs, pedigrees, and bloodlines effectively

Individual dog listings on BreedBuddies are designed to present the full pedigree, phenotypic qualities, and temperamental characteristics of your breeding stock. Whether you are presenting a proven sire with multi-generation champion bloodlines or an exciting maiden female approaching breeding age, presentation matters.

## 1. The Anatomy of a Comprehensive Dog Listing

Every dog profile on BreedBuddies includes dedicated fields structured for clear peer evaluation:

1. **Registered Name & Call Name**: Enter your dog's full official pedigree name (including kennel prefix and championship titles) alongside the everyday call name.
2. **Pedigree Lineage**: Detail the sire, dam, and notable ancestors. Mention imported bloodlines, frozen semen sires, or foundation kennels that contribute to the dog's heritage.
3. **Show & Working Achievements**: List official titles earned under recognized bodies (e.g., *Aust Ch, Grand Ch, CDX, Agility Dog, Tracking Champion, Field Trial Champion*).
4. **Physical Dimensions**: Record exact measurements – height at withers (cm/inches), weight (kg), and bite structure (e.g., *scissors bite, full dentition*).
5. **Temperament & Drive Description**: Describe your dog's character accurately. Is your dog high-drive and work-focused, or calm, biddable, and gentle with children? Accurate temperament descriptions are essential for balanced pairings.

## 2. Attaching Pedigree Documents

Breeders evaluate complementary lines through detailed pedigree analysis:
* Upload a clear scan or digital export of your dog's official **Certificate of Pedigree** (Dogs Australia or MDBA).
* Highlighting five-generation pedigrees enables potential mates to assess coefficient of inbreeding (COI) and identify bloodline strengths.
